Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. She made her film debut as the Bond actress on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Approached by a photographer Doody took up modelling, which turned into a career in commercial modelling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work, a rule she carried over to her acting. She accepted a small role as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when her name was picked by the director who cast her. Doody was named as one of the top 12 promising young Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody had just turned age 18 when she took on the role of Bond girl. She is still the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody had an unspoken role in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias during his dream, 1987's adaptation from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead part. The episode aired in 1988 with John Hurt, Dawn French as well as Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an archaeologist for forensics in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. Doody later moved to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal she was later chosen to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody's first appearance on the big screen came in 2003. Michael Caine played Doody in an uncredited role. She also appeared in 2004 with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. in 2010 Doody played a role on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). Then, she appeared in the RTE the medical drama The Clinic. She was also set to appear in a remake in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way in 2014, a documentary.
